Wave Camp 2022
April 1st - 5th
Greetings to our friends, fellow glider pilots, and Wave Nerds(TM)!
If you can hear a soft whistling of the wind, that is the sound of Wave Camp 2022 approaching. That’s right, Wave Camp 2022 is going to happen, and we’re targeting next month, April 1 – 5th. Things will run a little differently this year, but we’re excited about another memorable experience. For example, we will still be having informative seminars from the pros and wave veterans, but they will be hosted digitally.
Like WC2019, the glider instruction and wave flight slots will be assigned registered for on a daily basis. We’ve also managed to secure some room deals from Carson Valley Inn, so that’s an option for anyone looking for lodging during that period.
We’re finalizing a few small details, but as soon as we have it all worked out, we’ll send out an update, most likely just to the people interested in / registering for Wave Camp.
So, anyone who is interested in attending, please email [email protected] ATTN Anders Clark, and he can supply you with any necessary paperwork, and answer any questions.
In addition, if you are bringing a glider, and would like to reserve a tie-down, you can do so via this link here:
https://www.cognitoforms.com/
Keep in mind, the airport has generously agreed to waive (or wave, as it were) the tie-down fee for the week of Wave Camp. If, however, you would like to secure a tie-down pre- or post-Wave Camp, you will need to pay a $10 per night fee. If you’re interested in longer, monthly reservations are available.
Also, if you’d like to reserve an RV and/or Camping spot at the airport, you can do so here
https://www.cognitoforms.com/
Unfortunately, the airport can’t waive the camping/registration fee, which is $10/Night or $125/Month.
And… that should do it for now. We’ll post updates with more details, including a schedule, soon! We’re excited for some great wave flying in April, and hopefully, a whole bunch of you will be able to make it.
